Palais Galliera x Fashion on the Move Exhibit
Located in the 16th arrondissement, Palais Galliera is hosting the second installment of its “Fashion on the Move” exhibit, which showcases 300 pieces of clothing from the 18th century to the present day worn for physical exercise. The exhibit is a journey through time and Parisian space to understand how Parisians have dressed to play sports since the 18th century. Each sporting “activity” is approached from a heritage and historical angle, and the exhibit focuses on places linked to the sportswear trade, department stores, equipment manufacturers or couturiers who worked in the field (like Jean Patou who opened Le Coin du Sport in his Parisian boutique).
